🇮🇪 Ireland has got some mean looking locomotives. These Irish Rail / NI Railways class 201 locomotives are the primary powersource on the routes between Dublin and Cork and the international route between Dublin and Belfast. They are sometimes also found in front of cargo trains. 6-5-25

🏴 Last month I was lucky enough to go to Scotland again. There I captured a British Rail Class 158 trainset on a Inverness - Kyle of Lochalsh service. I'm personally a big fan of these trains, though I know there are a lot of people with a different opinion. 8-5-25

🇩🇪 Old meets (sort of) new. Along many branch lines in Germany you can still find semaphore signalling. Sometimes resulting in situations where the most modern trains are guided by wires and levers. It can also result in pictures like this Alstom LINT 41/H belonging to EVB leaving Cuxhaven.

🇳🇱 Old, but still alive. This Mat '54 with number 766 belong to Stichting Hondekop. During this particular day it was being transported to the workshops down in Maastricht to prepare for the summer months. This 70 year old train was in service with the Dutch Railways until 1996.

🇳🇱 This MaK 6416 belonging to DB Cargo is transporting a steel train from Köln Gremberg to Maastricht Beatrixhaven. This particular train was hauled from Köln to Venlo by a DB Cargo ES64F4, where this train was taken over by this locomotive to go the rest of the way.

🇱🇺 With the withdrawal of the CFL Série 2000 there are more and more Coradia Max' in Luxembourg. I was lucky enough to catch one leaving the station of Cruchten on a Luxembourg bound service.

🇲🇦 Belgian traction in Morocco. The AM'80 is a well known train in Belgium, but what many people don't know is that ONCF also ordered these trains to run the Airport Shuttle in Casablanca and for some of the Train Navette Rapids, the regional trains.
