In 1937 artist Käthe Kollwitz made this Piëta in remembrance of the dead of het son Peter in the Great War (WW 1). Now mothers all over the world still mourn their daughters and sons as wars keep on going. When will humanity learn that violence never is the answer to whatever problem?
