I picked up Derwent Watersoluble Sketching Pencils and a new sketchbook a little while ago. This was my first time using them. There was a bit of a learning curve for me to get over, but it was fun!

This is an ink and watercolor painting of a tree inspired by the balete trees in the Philippines. The long aerial roots of the tree anchor it to the rocks on the lower left corner, and a gold shimmer has been added to the green leaves to help reveal the mysterious character of the tree.

I think Dr. Ph. Martin's Bombay blue is a really pretty color, and it's what I used to make this eye. I wonder if the other India ink colors are as wonderful and vibrant.
