My controller has been a Linux VM in Hyper-V for 10 years at this point.

In my closet of spares I have two 24 port Dell 10GB switches but they are datacenter grade from ten years ago so the fans are Loud.
My Mac also has the 10GB port waiting for me to finally pull the trigger on a newer Unifi switch that won’t rattle the house.

We've had 2 and 5 gigabit available for a few years and I've resisted upgrading so far because whenever I ask myself what I want it for I keep answering "spite."
