And this why we need to get corporate money out of politics, and outlaw corporate lobbying.
This is why we need to tax billionaires out of existence.

To profit off of misery, to be inherently incentivized to ensure that people continue to suffer... is nothing short of pure evil.

There's an entire class of "human" parasite that profits off of the sick and injured.
They would rather throw the cure for cancer into the sun, so that no one gets it, than give up the stream of revenue they make off of our suffering.

We could all be living much better lives, if not for them.

Well, aside from being anti-science buffoons... It's for the same reason that Americans are priced out of and refused coverage for curative treatments and forced into less effective long-term care. Profit.

If we're not building a society that improves the lives of all people and protects the world that we live in, then it isn't worth building at all.

The fact that we're here now, at this moment in history, suffering the greed of few worthless individuals and the insane whims of petty tyrants, is a clear sign that people have forgotten what's important.
Life is important, not money. The world is important, not profit margins. WE are important.

In a world where monkeys spend every day being hunted by lions, would they fear a monkey sitting on a pile of bananas? Would they even tolerate such hording? No; they choose leaders who can guide and protect the tribe. Weak fools who horde resources at expense of the tribe would never be allowed.

I'm not suggesting that people should act like savages. But perspective is important. Ask a person who has explored the world and survived fire, flood, and storm if they respect the "authority" of petty tyrants or corporations. Ask them what's important in life, what's worth fighting for.

Building a civilized society that helps people rise above the inherent danger of the wild SHOULD be a noble pursuit, but the loss of perspective has led to the degradation of society. People have had their primal nature almost completely sapped out of them and lost the strength of will to survive...

The true underlying problem is that they no longer understand how they are a part of this world; they no longer understand themselves, their own human nature.
When you disconnect from nature, you not only lose the awe and respect and fear of its beauty and power, but also perspective and meaning...

...Instead they have become callous parasites, feeding off the world without any respect for the delicate balance that allows life to exist. You can see the glaring evidence of this in the constant wanton destruction of nature for the sake of profit. But even this is only a symptom of the problem...

They no longer understand where they came from, or appreciate how far humanity has come. They don't respect the power and danger of nature. They don't appreciate the value or fragility of life. They no longer see themselves as a part of this world...
