A late thanks and I hope u got a new bus!

Based on the lighting alone I can tell that the reference photo was taken indoors but near a window at midafternoon during winter in Finland, when the sun starts going down early and the sky casts a blue light that contrasts with the yellow light indoors

In Mexico and most latam countries it’s known as both “día de San Valentin” and “día de la amistad”, aka friendship day, too

Not 100% science books for kids but any of the books by Janell Cannon are great. They always tell a story about an animal character and at the end of each book there’s an educational section about the animal and other animals in its ecosystem. These books definitely got me into nature as a kid.
