Made this for the Tiny Desk contest way back in 2019. Was one of the songs planned for a second album right before Covid hit, I got married, and had a kid. The studio in the basement is still waiting to be utilized for that second album. Maybe after we’re out of the Tyrannical Threenager stage…

Produced with my friend, Jordan, a talented dancer. She listened to the intro and put together a routine. For the remainder, we visited some abandoned homes and just ran with it. This was the first song off the EP and sort of (?) the genesis of Woodgrove.

Covid lockdowns hit and I was bored. So I made a one-shot video from a vacation video I took of a pool. Boredom has its benefits.

On the first EP, this was the only song produced completely separate from the other recordings. Lived in my bedroom for an entire summer battling depression. Out of it came this song and video from a phone taped to my bedroom ceiling.

Filmed this on a Super 8mm camera for a film festival with my friend, Eden. Turns out the thing got corrupted and didn’t play right at the festival. But at least it was still viable for the music video.

Gonna fill this thing out with some past selections. An album is ready, but raising a toddler has been more important lately. Stay tuned?
