6/8❗These findings highlight a critical reality: depoliticizing climate science is essential for rebuilding trust and advancing action. Without addressing deep political divides, efforts to communicate and implement evidence-based policies risk falling short.

5/8 🎓 We explored whether education might reduce this divide — but the effect was small and uncertain. This suggests education alone may not be enough to bridge political differences in trust.

4/8 The ideological trust gap appeared to be strongest in Anglophone countries, in more democratic societies and countries with a higher GDP per capita.

3/8 We found a clear pattern: people with more right-leaning political ideologies tend to trust climate scientists less than those leaning left.
