Yeah, Stephen King got it so wrong. Though "The Stand" would not be half as good if Randall Flagg was an idiot.

Yeah, I still had Warren G Harding up there, but TFG was not going to be denied.

Thanks for letting him know. I know it's difficult to be straight and honest with "people" who need to be told a difficult truth about them. But it's the New Year and it had to be done.

Maybe the least stunning thing I'll read all year, and I got a whole year ahead of me.

Don't worry. I guess I died yesterday and it doesn't feel all that different. So, you're not missing anything.

Sh!t! I hate it when Jane is wrong.

I'm sure it's great
I'm not paying Jeff B. to subscribe to the Washington Post to see it.

I wish there was a way to report TFG posted without reposting what TFG posted. I sometimes wonder if TFG posts sh!t to infiltrate our souls knowing multiple people will post it without him doing a f@cking other thing.

Ultimately, it will be someone else's fault. Accepting reality requires some reflection that is difficult to embrace. And with the Faux News, and what was once legacy media's assault on what is real, it will be a bridge too far for too many.

Musicians and artists have been at the heart of many a revolution throughout history. The answer is blowing in the wind.

The megachurch is just a bad Broadway show. I still remember going to one for a class I was taking and they literally prayed over wallets and checkbooks that they "fruitful". Then they broke into a song and jiggle number.

Holy freaking moly indeed. I was a little sad about the Bears - 49ers outcome, but what a crazy game.

But,, to your first point... Wow. And to your second, I guess we need to start thinking about the draft a little.

Or they could all trip and fall down... over and over. Just sayin
December 29, 2025 at 4:07 AM
Sure. But who wasn't yelling "shorten the freaking speech" multiple times so far in this season's Stranger Things"? When a door is closing you need to have some recognition of time. Just saying.

This is not to say that those that strive and succeed should not benefit. It is the question of, what is also good for the health of society. Without a healthy society, we are ultimately led towards entropy. Happy New Year.

Our culture seems very focused on what we get as opposed to what we do. We celebrate celebrity. We disproportionately reward the top out of "reverence". Ultimately, this lack of balance leaves the "have nots" with a level of bitterness that inevitably leads to discord.

Yea??!

But they could give him a toy phone that seems like it works, but only posts to a pretend social media platform that nobody really goes to.

Definitely not. I appreciate the broader use of words. I also appreciate when there's a combination of "correct" use matched with a touch of irony - which was the case of the original post I was commenting on.

Nothing more fun than talking grammar rules on Christmas day. 😀

Literally.
December 25, 2025 at 8:54 PM
Amen to literalism.
December 25, 2025 at 8:53 PM
Touchè! Though, I would say that irony would allow for the funny use of "literally".
