This evening's movie was Fright Night (1985). A vampire and his familiar move next door to a teenage boy. Murders start happening but when the teen raises the alarm the police, his friends and a fading movie star don't believe him. It's fun and it has proper old school effects. 8 out of 10.

This evening's movie was The Hitcher (1986). If you don't agree that 80's movies were better than those made today, watch The Hitcher. Watch Rutger Hauer play an almost omnipresent Michael Myers type villain. No crappy CGI here, just good old fashioned practical fx. I'll give it 8 fingers out of 10.
November 20, 2025 at 8:38 PM
This evening's movie was White Heat (1949). A classic. A mother loving gangster and his journey to the top of the world. I'll give it 9 headaches out of 10.

This evening's movie was Frankenstein (2025). A decent effort that's more faithful to the book than anything Universal or Hammer produced (though probably not as enjoyable as those classics). Well worth a watch though I thought some of the CGI was crap. I'll give it 7.5 blind man's friends out of 10

This evening's movie was Hunting Grounds (2025). I went in blind and was pleasantly surprised. A woman is on the run from her mob boss ex hubby. She has to rely on help from a hunky ex special forces guy. Not reinventing the wheel but the 90 minutes flew by. I'll give it 7 trespassers out of 10.
October 27, 2025 at 7:20 PM
This evening's movie was Coyotes (2025). Hungry coyotes attack a Hollywood neighbourhood. I comedy horror that's lacking in both comedy and horror and with mostly annoying characters that leave you hoping they end up as lunch. I'll give it 4.5 pest control guys out of 10.
October 21, 2025 at 7:05 PM
Today's movie was Bullet In The Head (1990). As I treat to myself I watch this classic every few years. 3 friends get caught up in the Vietnam war. A heroic bloodshed masterpiece. I'll give it 9 boxes of gold out of 10.

October 8, 2025 at 9:20 PM
This evening's movie was It: Chapter 2 (2019). More of a comedy than a horror film and it's got a bloated CGI fest of an ending but it was entertaining enough. I'll give it 6 unappetizing fortune cookies out of 10.
October 7, 2025 at 7:20 PM
This evening's movie was It (2017). With the TV series It : Welcome To Derry coming later this month I thought I'd rewatch the 2017 movie. Pennywise the clown is prowling the sewers and feeding on a diet of fear. I'll give it 8 Losers Clubs out of 10.

This evening's movie was Colombiana (2011). A young girl witnesses the killing of her parents and grows up to become an assassin who's after revenge. Lots of running, shooting, booms and bangs! Decent Luc Besson produced film. I'll give it 7.5 orchids out of 10.
September 24, 2025 at 6:30 PM
This evening's movie was Peppermint (2018). An action packed revenge thriller where a woman is back for justice against the cartel who killed her husband and daughter. Jennifer Garner buffs up like Sarah Connor as she channels her inner Charles Bronson. I'll give it 7.5 avenging angels out of 10.

September 21, 2025 at 12:43 PM
This evening's movie was Brute 1976 (2025). Inspired by the likes of Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Hills Have Eyes this movie sees a bunch of youngsters on a photo shoot running foul of some masked psychos. Not a patch on the movies it's tipping it's cap to but worth a look.
September 18, 2025 at 6:37 PM
This evening's movie was Bambi The Reckoning (2025). After Bambi's mother is killed by hunters he grows up into a mutated killing machine. Quite good technically but rather flat as far as the storyline goes, I'll give it 5.5 man eating bunnies out of 10.
September 11, 2025 at 7:52 PM
This evening's movie was Assault (1970). An early English giallo produced by the bloke behind the Carry On films. Schoolgirls are getting raped in the woods and there's a bunch of suspects. Not bad, I'll give it 7 exploding David Essex's out of 10.
September 8, 2025 at 8:15 PM
This evening's movie was Weapons. All the plot you need to know is on the poster. Best watched with no spoilers, all I'll say is it's told from multiple viewpoints and concludes with a satisfyingly bonkers finale. I'll give it 8 heat seeking missiles out of 10.
September 2, 2025 at 7:43 PM
This evening's movie was The Last Man On Earth (1964). An airborne plague wipes out the world's population just leaving a bunch of vampire type beings and Vincent Price. Better than the Will Smith CGI mess but not quite as good as The Omega Man. I'll give it 7.5 bodies thrown in the pit out of 10.
August 25, 2025 at 6:37 PM

This evening's movie was Together (2025). A couple in a failing relationship move into a new house. There's a hole in the ground on the site of a church that housed a cult. I wasn't sure if I was enjoying it as I was watching but after having time to think it over I've decided I probably did.
August 4, 2025 at 8:02 PM
This evening's movie was 28 Years Later (2025). A touching tale of a boys love for his mother. I enjoyed it more than I thought but there's so many "as if that would happen" moments. And as for the ending! 🤣 I'll give it 7 zombie cocks out of 10.
