I wrote my own Charlie Kirk obituary, and about valuing truth over manners: www.thenation.com/article/poli...
Charlie Kirk’s Legacy Deserves No Mourning
The white Christian nationalist provocateur wasn't a promoter of civil discourse. He preached hate, bigotry, and division

just for the record, i'm 28 & never saw this movie before & i did not see the twist coming until minutes before 😭i got so wrapped up in the movie, i forgot what the director was known for lmao
😈😈 What happens when you take the normal plot of a normal movie... and TWIST it?? The start of Media Club Plus Season 2 kicks off with The Sixth Sense. Everyone loved it. Take a listen and if you like it tell your movie-liking friends. In your podcast app of choice or mediaclub.plus/the-twisted-...
Media Club Plus: The Twisted Mind of M Night Shyamalan - The Sixth Sense: Media Club Plus S02E01
Welcome to Media Club Plus: a podcast about diving into the media that interests us and the stories that excite us. This season we're watching a bunch of M Night Shyamalan movies. This episode we watched the Sixth Sense and next time we'll be back with Unbreakable. The Sixth Sense is so famous for it's twist ending that, as someone who had never seen it before, i think it's regrettably stopped being famous for being really good. It's really good! Malcolm Crowe is a successful and respected child psychologist, until one night an old patient, still suffering, breaks into his home and attacks him, shaking his confidence and ruining his marriage. A year later, he's found another boy, very much like the one he failed, and he's determined to get it right this time. But if you can believe it, not everything is as it seems. Featuring Keith Carberry (, ), Sylvi Bullet (), Ali Acampora () and Arthur Martinez-Tebbel () Produced by Keith Carberry Music by Jack de Quidt (available at ) Cover Art by by Annie Johnston-Glick ()  This episode was made with support from listeners like you! i actually thought the hospital scene made sense at first, like if you think that a kid is being injured or had some kind of neurological issue it makes sense to talk to their therapist about it... which is why i was so surprised dr m night didnt ask malcom his opinions

general review consensus: “the movie was audaciously, hilariously bad, but seeing Francis Ford Coppola monologue nearly uninterrupted for 2.5 hours, with breaks for theater games, was kind of amazing.” (and you know what? I’m glad you got to experience that)
me: i’d hardly describe myself as a hater
also me: puts a reminder in my bullet journal to read the most recent reviews for “Megalopolis” on Letterboxd the day after the SOMEHOW ALREADY SOLD OUT Coolidge screening + post-film discussion with Francis Ford Coppola in person

i’m realizing now i DID watch this movie on Shakespeare’s 461st bday, but didn’t realize it until writing this review 2 days later. anyway, happy belated, Billy! boxd.it/9vii2L

3 months into 2025 and this is the first new (to me) movie I’ve a) given a heart to on Letterboxd and b) cried at the end of boxd.it/9cCSYl

Trump’s trying to gut funding for libraries: you can fight back with ALA.

The President's executive order to dismantle the Institute of Museum & Library Services would be deeply harmful. We need to speak out.

Take action NOW: tell Congress to protect library funding.
