Oh yes, Starcrossed! Forgot about that one. The acting was so good in that 1 season show. The two leads had great chemistry. Another missed opportunity for a good show with a Black female lead. Typical typical typical…😒

Idk if you ever watched FOUND w Shanola Hampton, but season 1 focused on her character, and her relationship w her abductor. It was very good. By season 2 however, everything changed. It was not the same show. It was recently cancelled. Same story, and the same outcome. 🙄

Exactly. Allow Leslie to lose at something, and to be a little more regretful with some of her choices. Have the Duprees unashamedly & skillfully knock her down a few pegs. Eva too. I like the characters, but they could be more well rounded in some areas.

I think I know who they’re writing for NOW, and it’s not Black people necessarily. I think some sort of change happened, and now the real agenda is coming to the front. For instance, as dynamic and sexy as Dani is…why is Ashley her competition for Andre’s heart? Typical bs.

It’s the “black people can’t be too cutthroat or come across as having too much power, or the audience won’t accept them.” The Duprees are a beautiful, & wealthy family, but whoever writes for them wants to keep them humble, approachable, and grateful. It’s so annoying.
