…or, at least, promote himself to join a different team in a different racing series. All I can say for now, I’m glad to see Jack back to Formula 1 and I wish him all the luck to prove everyone wrong.

Doohan was replaced, in my humble opinion, with a driver who already showed what he is capable off, or, in fact, didn’t show at all. Now Colapinto is on the verge of being booted himself due to lack of progress. Jack stays in #F1 for another season and should take this chance to land in a F1 team…

And this thing is budget. The top teams stay at the top not because they are more talented or gifted, which can be true as well. But because they have resources to invest into best professionals and equipment, which smaller teams lack. I predict no change to the regular top-4 teams in 2026 #F1.

The disappointment is with RBR, RB, AM, and Williams. At the moment, these teams have performance problems, which they have little time to correct. Let’s see whether it’s enough time between Barcelona and Bahrain to turn the tide. And, on the brighter side, in just a month, the #F1 season starts.

Mercedes has a history of being at the top during the regulation changes. This time it’s not different. McLaren is also going strong as it should be for the reigning champions. And I can’t stop saying about Alpine. The French team looks promising, but I guess anything can be better than prev. years.

The rumour has it that Ferrari declined the letter of possible improvements made by Lewis, but so far we can assume that the Italian marque has listened to the 7-time WC. Hamilton also looked in a pretty positive mood all over the shakedown. Let’s just hope that at last they turned things around.

Their participation in #Formula1, and in many other racing series, is further proof of this. And one is for sure (saying it in Macron‘s accent 😅), without Mercedes-Benz, the history of automobiles would be extremely different or wouldn’t be at all. Happy Birthday, Mercedes-Benz!

The renowned Silver Arrows, who were one of the pioneers of motorsport, continue their legacy till this day and onwards. You may like them or not, but a Stuttgart-based marque has always been at the forefront of technological innovation and progress.

That being said, so far we should restrain ourselves from making any conclusions. All drivers try the new regulations the first time, and it’s quite hard to drive fast when you don’t know what to expect from the car. The tests in Bahrain will give us more info and then we can make our predictions.

And it’s pretty impressive that he is pushing the car to the limit, showing the best lap time so far. It looks like he is trying to prove Red Bull that he is capable to compete with Max in his own setup. But when you push in an unfamiliar car, the risk of making a mistake rises. Props to him.

When he joined, the development had already started, specifically for Max. We can only assume, but I believe that the question of the second driver was still open in October, thus postponing the development of the second car as well. It’s quite high chance that Hadjar is driving Max‘s setup.

The development of the 2026 car might have started even earlier, given a completely new set of regulations, which makes it before Horner‘s departure and Mekies stepped in. Although Mekies stated on several occasions that he prefers developing both cars separately, I really doubt that this time.
January 28, 2026 at 10:04 AM
Nobody should be surprised, since everyone remembers that under Horner RBR developed both their cars for their 1st driver, who’s been Verstappen for quite some years. The development of a new car starts, usually, in the middle of the season.

Overall, so far I like the liveries. During the previous regulations, it looked like all teams went for the darker themes, which made F1 monotonous. Now we see a comeback of distinguished colours, and that’s a positive thing. Let’s hope that the season is going to be as bright.

Racing Bulls followed the path of a sister team and decided to keep a similar livery to the previous one. The addition of a Ford blue suits well with their layout, and I kind of like it more than last season. But again, we have to look at it under natural light to be able to evaluate it properly.

At least, they managed to convince the Austrian brand to rethink its colour scheme to match symbolic Ford blue. It’s just unusual to see RBR in a brighter colour. Looks interesting, but on-track it might be even better. Overall, not so much of a change.
