I rarely get an opportunity to buy myself anything, but I hold that these purchases are totally worthwhile! For the third time in my life I am setting out on a journey to read the entire Bible "cover to cover" along with this classic commentary. I found this first edition online for less than $17!

The latest on the bump on the bridge of my nose: I have a consultation appointment with a plastic surgeon (!) on December 9 in advance of a tentative surgery date of December 19. ICYMI the bump is a Basal Cell Carcinoma, which is a non-dangerous skin cancer. Fun times!

Herr Felon Fredo TACO Pedo Cankles McSqueaky Tanks posted this on his Lie-Loco platform. Not surprising, but still incredibly stupid, especially happening on the Solemnity of Christ the King.

Hey MAGA, is this madness okay with you?

This was my last posting on Twitter (now known as X) two years ago. I "retweeted" with a quote a Tweet from the USCCB. My quote stated that I did not like to pray for seminarians because so many of them were anti-Francis. A few hours later, my account was restricted. Frozen out...permanently.

The results are back re: the "bump" on the bridge of my nose. As the doctor suspected at my visit to his office, this is indeed a "basal cell carcinoma" which is a non-life-threatening form of skin cancer. A surgeon will be calling me to set up an appointment to have it removed. Fun times!

I have a very tiny kitchen with very little convenient storage. I keep my most used ingredients and certain daily food items on the shelf around the counterspace. I had to move all the stuff out of the way to clean the counterspace. For me that is a major accomplishment. I'm tired now.

In the photo the "wound" doesn't look as bad as it does in the mirror! The purple area is where the doctor injected the local anesthesia. The white part is the original nob out of which he took the sample to send off for testing. I have a whole box of round band-aids to cover it up.

Um...he never was "America First," Marge!

He was always Donald first!

This was only a very small biopsy to send a tiny sample out for testing. Now it looks like I was in a serious fight. (It looks worse without the band-aids!)

These are the images I like to remember of Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi. Pope Francis extended her a warm welcome while Archbishop of San Francisco Salvatore Cordileone excluded her from receiving Holy Communion.

Pope Leo's first Apostolic Exhortation, Dilexi te, dropped on October 9, 2025. As of today (Sunday October 26, 2025) There has been NO MENTION of it on the Archdiocese of San Francisco website.

Question: How many people work at the Vatican?
Pope John: Oh, about half of them!

Today, October 11, is the memorial of Pope Saint John XXIII. On this day in 1962, Pope John opened the Second Vatican Council. To this day I carry a special place in my heart for Pope John!
