Genius parent lie I picked up - if the elves don’t move (ie you totally forgot) u put them on the Xmas tree with the lights on to ‘re-energise’ them. That fixes it. But u must use gloves or a tea towel or something - elves are all about a no touch policy.

I’m definitely not a #Syria expert (been there just the once) and I get the joy & relief at the fall of a an utterly monstrous regime, but the “Syria is finally free!” sentiment seems mighty premature.

This week, MAG teams in Quang Binh, #Vietnam removed a 118kg bomb from a residential garden, uncovered during a water pipe excavation.

After being made safe, it was transported to a secure site for destruction.

A fine and beautiful pub - always think Liverpool was blessed in one way by the economic blight of the 70s/80s in that the developers’ bulldozers stayed clear at a time when heritage assets had less protection.
