Reader interested in speculative fiction, all fiction really. Love the outdoors and furry creatures of all sorts. Formally educated in Archaeology, love sports, history, mythology, folklore and so much more. Also, kinda old.
If it's any consolation, my Thanksgiving dinner will be a turkey sandwich when I get done at work🙂

That's so nice of you to say so Angela! @sheenalouisef.bsky.social is one of my favorite people on any platform of social media and invited me here in the beginning. I thank her and I thank you. My love for your writing runs deep, a combination of worldly experience and resilience that rings true.

@angelaslatter.bsky.social is one of my favorites. Spread her name far and wide, that is one of my missions here in the U.S. That's been the plan since 2010 + and I continue. Plus, you sent me a copy of this title when I won your giveaway! It is pre-ordained and destiny bound. Thank you my friend!

I will read it and love the Sourdough world. I feel like something else though right now. I will certainly read anything @angelaslatter.bsky.social writes but I keep hearing great things about this Hughart series. Any suggestions?

I'm missing my cats today too. Even the one who pooped on my pillow.

Good night clown. Now close your eyes and don't dream of human feet...

I miss my furry friends, my slumber partners, my hecklers. 20 years later and I still dream about them, healthy and whole. I miss my cats.

Sorry about the afters.

I will read a fantasy novel after after Garner's "Powsels and Thrums". I'm thinking either "The Crimson Road" by @angelaslatter.bsky.social or "Bridge of The Birds" by Barry Hughart. Suggestions are welcome.

I love puffy Cheetos. The melt in my mouth kind.

More than that; don't work there.

"Black and White Sky" is haunting. Read more Tanith Lee, her dark themes, her ear-to-the-ground realism, her individual and singular contribution to fantastic fiction.

I'm enjoying the Harington, having read a number of his books in the past. No horror but plenty of humor and nostalgia. I was impressed by Kristi Demeester's short stories so her novel went in the TBR pile. Same with @keithrosson.bsky.social and I will get to both novels soon. Next, Alan Garner.😊

Both of these titles are in my TBR pile. Currently reading When Angels Rest by Donald Harington (1935 - 2009).
