Sure I'll complain about snow in February, but this, the first snow of the season, will never cease to be magical to me. And to be greeted this morning with snow covering the Japanese maple outside my bedroom window?! 10/10.

I've seen some odd things on the academic job market, but this ask about "Millwright" experience for a Communication faculty position is a first!

Too early for Xmas but never for surveillance! The "Trooper on the Pooper" will ensure your children stay regular throughout the holidays. Jimmy's not hydrating or eating prunes? He can reflect on that as he labors deep within the spice mines of Kessel. Long live fiber intake! Long live the Empire!

Now that my Blue Jays have lost in excruciating fashion, I'm going to focus on my NBA team to lift my spirts.

I don't even know where to begin with Diane Keaton's incredible performances. Too many to count. A truly singular presence on-screen and off. RIP.

If you've spent any time in Bloomington you've either run into Joel Washington on the IU campus where he's worked for 40 years, or you've seen his incredible art around town. If you have a few dollars to spare please consider donating to help Joel stay housed. Thank you.

Truly one of the last "stars" in its most realized form, Robert Redford's command of his craft made performances across eras and genres look effortless. His dexterity and charisma as a storyteller radiated through all facets of his life and work. RIP

My 4-year-old and I ventured to Uxbridge, Ontario, to check out the Roxy Theatre today. The movie (Bad Guys 2) was fine, but the theatre itself was the real attraction. We have very few independent movie houses left, and this one's a gem.
