I sat at a briefing by the West Point superintendent 10 years ago at Fort Benning that was ostensibly about what USMA was doing to improve officer education. All he talked about for an hour was the football team and how the football team winning will somehow make the military more effective.

They should award him the Mr. Olympia title too.

I feel like there're several field grades out there trying to vice signal to the administration that they're ready to step up to a brevet two or three star position if they need somebody to carry out illegal orders.

I remain confident that James Talarico doesn't have a Totenkopf tattoo.

It's to satisfy his facebook base of almost serveds and terminal PFCs who think that any level of war above a battle drill is woke.

This guy is the poster child for why they got rid of BCAP. Zero chance he would have been found ready to command.

Foederati when?

This guy seems like he's deadest on politically virtue signaling so he can be skip 3-5 ranks after some future purge.

I don't think he even commanded a company or even attended the captain's career course. He has never led more than 30-40 people before becoming SECDEF.

The U.S. Military is almost completely coup proof for a variety of reasons, like geography, culture and a lack of any unit cohesion for more than a year or two.

Let me guess, if everyone just donates $10 via act blue, then you can fight back against Republican overreach?

Constellis bought the remnants of blackwater. It's basically the umbrella for all private security work for the USG. They mostly guarded bases in AFG, and maybe secure diplomats moving around in Kabul. It's not really accurate to conflate this with the psychos in 2003-08 era blackwater.

It's The Behavior Panel on YouTube. 3 of them claim to be Army Interrogators, the other is a British guy who claims to consult with royals or something.

Wouldn't it be easier to just make up whatever numbers about deportations they want instead of this farce? Who's going to push back on them?

Some guesses:
1.) Service Members required to identify all social media accounts. Those with the wrong opinions are non-promotable, chaptered or their security clearances are denied. Will likely be tied to countering protests.
2.) Adding political party affiliation to security clearances

Only if activated by the federal government under title X. Otherwise they fall under state authority and can be used for law enforcement for state law under title 32. There's zero chance they will be used to counter feds though, that's basically inviting an insurrection act declaration.

CGSC is 50% resident active duty at Leavenworth, with the remainder(to include most of the ARNG and USAR) attending either satellite or distance learning. This looks like the hub location for satellite CGSC at Belvoir has been closed (which I assume presages a move to just resident and DL CGSC.)
