Avril Lavigne Let Go : 2002 -> Lorde Summer 2025 -> I need new Music like I need air

I fucking love expensive imported goods. Gosh I sure hope that the wildely complex system of human agreements that is "The Economy" continues to work for me. My wife has to have insulin.

I'm re-listening to Lorde's Solar Power and I feel ready to take on the world.

I don't know how to properly describe how blood curdlingly angry I become when I want to watch Invincible without ads, and even when I pay for prime video (plus extra for ad free) I get "skipable" ads for other Amazon shows. I'm just going to pirate this shit if this is the norm.

I love that I can tell my bro something and know 100% that it will make it to his wife.

Kai Rysdal is a good model of man and a thinker.

Oh, quick advice to the kids, don't gamble on sports

Not to be a total stick in the mud, but I pay for premium YouTube. And you're going to advertise to me, in the video? I. Do. Not. Want. Ads. I pay extra to not see them. I don't want to hear about your pans. Is there a way for me to pay even more to never see ads?

Youth is wasted on the young? If you didn't waste your youth, what were you doing?

The Chiefs are back they say, after a 15-1 preseason

Nostalgia is a helluva drug. I was seriously unhappy and not doing well from 2009-2012, but I look back so fondly on those times.

Shout out to the 🐐 Laura Kelly, KS Governor. The Kansas Government is working for its people. I'm proud to be a Kansan.

It'd be cool if bo burnham made another sad video. This whole thing kinda just feels like covid 2: Trump's back

Update: Drove around Madrid/Spain. Madrid is a lot, but outside of the high density Madrid stuff, driving felt very safe. And more importantly, I felt very safe as a pedestrian everywhere in Spain. We should really all slow down when we drive.
Rome is amazing but there is zero chance I could survive driving here. It's like the wild west

I'm endlessly frustrated by this idea that the modern world has robbed us of meaning. Are you not enjoying yourself basking in this wealth? Can you not objectively compare your situation to 5, 10, 20, or 50 years ago? Skill issue.

I think that cash back on credit transfers sucks. Miles are a scam. I hate shopping around for credit cards, and I just want an easy way to transact money where the service doesn't take a 4+% haircut on every transaction then promises to give me 1% back.

What if the dnc spent 100k/week just giving money to influencers? I bet we'd get better content than tim pool
September 6, 2024 at 6:29 AM
One thing I'll argue until I'm blue in the face is that 9-ball pool is an infinitely better game than 8-ball. It's shorter, more challenging, and just more fun.

I miss the techno optimism of my youth. When I started into software, the future felt bright and full of promise, but now it feels like the field is filled to the brim with cryptobro and ai grifter types. Mr. Musk is the poster child. We could have had so much more...
