When you take the Test of English as a Foreign Language, you get a score, a useful result no matter how you perform. Not so for Portuguese -- if I flunk the B2 test, I won't walk away with a certificate saying I speak at a B1 level. Why design the test this way???

I am on the wildest trip. I am reading one of the top rated Next Gen books of all time for some summer trash reading. And apparently zero Jewish people were involved in the editing process??? ALL OF THE ALIEN NAMES ARE JUST STUFF FROM A SEDER PLATE.

Familia are watching Colorblocks over breakfast. Spouseman and I are discussing how pigment and light have different primary colors. I was taught this in junior high. But nobody ever told us why. Suspicion is "something wavelengths that we would probably understand now but wouldn't at age 12."
