🧵 I understand people are afraid. I am too. But I promise that yelling at me isn’t going to make my work better or faster.

I want to be super clear, I’m putting together trainings. I’m doing it, not an org - it’s me. Tomorrow is a webinar for people who rely on Medicaid.

Intersex people are threatened by every executive order, law and ruling that attempt to strip human rights from transgender people. Our access to hormones, rights to access bathrooms and play sports, and notably our demand to freedom from infant genital mutilation are at stake.
intersex people have never been more marginalized in our media. i hope that changes soon

What a week 😮‍💨. But know that these executive orders are purely written to drive fear. The courts will (very) likely pronounce that these orders are unconstitutional and the Executive Orders hit a dead end. However, I suggest continue reaching your local House and Senate rep to oppose such actions.

In many public spaces, engineers/architects design accessible spaces to meet ADA standards. However, the bare minimum is NOT always accessible and designed for maximum comfort (esp. wheelchair users). In legal text, the ADA still has grey areas to interpretation, making paths not truly accessible.

When I was invited to try out an inclusive dance class, I was hesitant. My disabilities struggle to do certain movements and process info. Thankfully, I’ve been a part of an amazing class called Shift, which is designed to be inclusive to people with and without disabilities of all levels! I ❤️ed IT!
