However, that would require actual legislation…and not just presidential whims. I’m not entirely sure that our congress still knows how to do that. Or if they have time. Since mostly they just argue about budgets and spending these days.

Yes! Create meaningful legislation for ALL our data that applies to everyone who uses that data as their core business model! Data sovereignty is the way forward. That way, we don’t kill innovation for our domestic market, and rules aren’t added arbitrarily to only SOME of the bad actors.

AP should sit and think about their biases, write a complete letter of self criticism, go to a rehabilitation camp, publicallh apologize to all their fellow media companies, then maybe they can have their access back. America’s Great Leap Forward is in effect.
