For me there was no bigger influence on my music tastes than Against Me! In addition to being one of my all time favorites, they always had amazing openers. Murder by Death, Fake Problems, Gaslight Anthem, Hot Water Music, American Steel, Loved Ones, and BTMI to name a few.

I will add that I sing this song daily with my 6 year old so I'm definitely being influenced by youth culture.

Listening to Chappell gives me the feeling other people seem to get from singers like Amanda Palmer or Mitski. All are incredibly talented but Chappell pulls me into a trance. Just an outrageously great voice!
