I had to convince my mom it was worth it (and necessary, immediately) to rent MK3 despite it being available on the Sega Channel because the code to unlock Smoke in my just-received Tips 'n Tricks magazine did not work on the split versions, and I had to play as him. Had to!

Even at the time I knew it was special. You couldn't save in it though, so it would be many years until I was able to play through Wily Tower.

Great video! As someone who was there for Sega Channel this was really enjoyable. Am looking forward to setting aside some time to looking at all the internal docs!

I'll forever be annoyed that the line didn't take an anthology approach from the jump. drip-feed the 1&2 to keep the line juiced and include literally anything else in every wave.

A recent interview suggested it would continue but not follow "the same model of a Mega Man and two Robot Masters every wave."
