If there’s anything films/shows/games/books/music that I have or haven’t experienced, let’s talk about it.
#ShelbyOaks: I contributed to this movie. The story and execution is fresh, but the actual conversation pieces needed more work; audience investment is key

#NowYouSeeMeNowYouDont: Sequel-planting lying within; the movie’s just as stupid as the others yet very entertaining. I had a blast

#Wednesday (S2): …and I’m tapping out. A few good moments, but overall is worse than its average first season.

#NorM (Christie): Surprisingly very tame for a Christie book, it has its normal mystery flair but sizzles down to near-nothing; strange for how controversial this one apparently was

Super Sonic is RIDICULOUS in it

It was fun getting to test #SonicRacingCrossworlds throughout the year, and now playing the final game - it’s very good.

Like other racers, it suffers from RNG that makes skill feel meaningless, but it’s expertly designed and has great callbacks/music/references

#ViolentNature (I Prevail): For better or worse, sounds like a collection of very good singles. 1st and 9th track really stood out.

#LiveAndLetDie (Fleming): Vastly different, and many ways superior to the film adaptation. A mini-twist regarding a character’s plan was a real highlight

Capped it off by replaying my favorite level

Revisited #AstroBot and completed all the “Top Difficulty” levels. The final one of these was nonsense at points, but overall it was a great challenge. Still an amazing game

Took long enough, but finally reached Platinum in #MarvelRivals

Wish there was more time to have with #MarvelTokon, as yesterday was insanely busy for me.

Still, I got in an hour’s worth and it was a blast. Dynamic, and clearly going to be difficult but rewarding to master.

Thanks for the Beta invite, @playstation.com!

Delivering expected spectacle yet offers vast exploration and control, #SwordOfTheSea is a triumph from Giant Squid.

While just a tad too short, it revels in ‘aura farming’

The 90’s #SonicTheHedgehog OVA is my favorite interpretation of Sonic, and my favorite movie ever if it applies.

This scene alone establishes what Sonic is capable of. General audiences can get the gist of it, and it adds context to the opening scene with Robotnik

#MetalGearSolid was an immensely impressive game for its time that’s aged well. Gargantuan production mixes and intertwines with a claustrophobic setting that suggests but doesn’t rely on stealth.

The ending sequence was a near-nightmare, but that aside it was a thriving experience

#Daybreak (Woe is Me): Featuring lead lines for the first time since 2010, the approach doesn’t eclipse “Number[s]” but is still decent.

#RedHarvest (Hammett): Philip Marlowe this is not; diverts from an atypical mystery early on into meaningless chaos with a sour ending and unlikable protagonist
August 27, 2025 at 7:38 PM
#TheFantasticFourFirstSteps: Impressive production design and compentent enough characters can’t save a formulaic, boring story. It’s a movie about nothing.

#Weapons: Genius sweeping photography and unpredictable storytelling meld to a satisfying payoff. Cannot wait to see this again

There’s big ambition in Mission: Impossible - #OperationSurma. A narrative, varied gameplay, and lengthy missions. Thing is, most of it is clunky and limited in reach
July 19, 2025 at 8:37 PM
#Superman: It’s a well-functioning machine. However, there’s radical leaps that audiences are expected to take to in order to move things forward.

#HowToStopTime (Haig): Very similar to another book by the author where the last quarter doesn’t deliver, but events preluding it keep you hooked

From L to R, each line:

1-2 songs, no, no, 3-5 songs, no

3-5 songs, yes, no, yes, 1-2 songs

1-2 songs, 1-2 songs, yes, 1-2 songs, 1-2 songs

Yes, yes, 3-5 songs, 3-5 songs, no

Yes, huh?, 3-5 songs, 1-2 songs, 1-2 songs

I guess the thing’s kind of right

#TalesOfTheUnderworld: A friend described it as “solid”, and I’d agree. Doesn’t change the game here, but it’s a quaint corner within Star Wars

#Heat2 (Mann/Gardiner): An engrossing, spectacular follow-up to the 1995 film. Scenarios are fully realized, and gargantuan moments dominate the last third

#Andor (Final Season): Uses time wisely, even in earlier moments, to secure a cohesive dive into a corner that audiences might’ve not noticed initially.

#TheFinalReckoning: Brash editing and a pointless reveal are the only blemishes on a tight, exciting “finale”

Spring wasn’t defining, but it also was without nonsense

Thriving on familiarity and astounding variety, #SplitFiction was pure bliss from start to end.

Actions/features in later parts aren’t telegraphed; a minor note on otherwise pure intuition
