That's looking so good! I would double check the indentation on the magazine here. There's something odd about the shape maybe. But I might be wrong. Looking forward to seeing more!

Loving these. Especially that last one. But I'm biased since it has my pistol in it. 🧐

Hey Julen. I've been enjoying watching this project come along. I think something might be up with the scaling in this image. The gun looks too big in comparison to the hands. It might be something to look into.

Wrapped up my pistol design. Not sure if I'll go on to texture this, my next real step is to 3D print it.

It's been awhile since I've posted since it's been awhile since I've worked on a project. But I'm getting back into this pistol that I'm using to learn more about complex surface work in Plasticity. Lots of intersecting compound curves that are a huge challenge. It's been great!

Not sure it's availability everywhere, but a recent find for me is Casa Martinez Habanero Salsa. It's on the spicy side of store bought salsas, if that's your thing. Great flavor.

I've been sketching out an original pistol design in plasticity. Getting all the curved connecting surfaces has been a fun challenge.

Bald head and face.

Does this count as character art?
I wanted to 3D print my head so I cleaned up and slightly stylized a photogrammetry scan of myself.

Three kinds, wipes, standard baffles, flowthrough. Flowthrough is kind of the next generation of suppressor tech. Often distinguishable by the additional holes in the front that vent gas out the front instead of pushing it back into the chamber. The interiors have far more complex geometry.

I think your magazines could use an additional element or detail. A lot of magazines have grooves, plane changes, or depth changes you could use. Your stock doesn't have a visible way of releasing it to extend. You could add some buttons to the side.

Another old project (but not very old, just last year). I can look back and see how each project has changed me. This one changed the way I presented my work. Also my first project using Plasticity.

One of the worst things about being interested in guns is finding someone else that is interested in them. Then you have to do this verbal dance of conveying "I'm not interested in guns in a *weird* way". While also trying to determine if they are into guns in a *weird* way.

Here's a lesser viewed render of my last project. It was fun to put a different aesthetic on Splinter Cell. Model of Sam Fisher by @lizaledwards.bsky.social

Here's a closeup of a rifle I completed last year. I was especially proud of this project. Probably the most work I've ever put into a personal project. I wanted to make something that looked different than the typical, tactical gun. Unfortunately It never picked up much traction on social media.

Looking back I sunk a huge amount of time into learning MD, it was a cool program and fun to work with, but I haven't touched it since. When I first started 3D I wanted to be a character artist, now completing a full character feels daunting. Of the many characters I've started I've only finished 2

...It's a nice shape.

Here's a Sabre I never finished. I started a character project to learn Marvelous Designer. The character had a sabre so I knocked the high poly out pretty quick. Doing the guard was fun, flowing shapes that meet up together elegantly. Which looks like this up close...

New render of an old project.
I've developed a thing for pistols specifically. I like weapons in general, but I think my favorite is pistols. I made this 2011 pistol two years ago and it was the first time I really pursued precision. It taught me a lot about...
