Yes, "A" customs union is not "The Customs Union" - but what Corbyn suggested was fantasy.

www.politico.eu/article/jere...

A customs union similar to that which Turkey has with The EU would be entirely possible.

Any convergence with The EU can only be a good thing, for future attempts to rejoin.

@motorcitymick.bsky.social Just listening to you on an episode of the Back To Now podcast.

You're right about Wendy & Lisa's Eroica album. It's totally stood the test of time.

Now 17 is my favourite of all the Now compilations (possibly because I turned 18 in 1990).

Fellow #LibDems, this account appears to be some kind of bot - promoting crypto-currencies and the unofficial "Liberal Voice for Women" group of entryist bigots. 👇🏻

The #LibDems' aim to #RejoinEU was detailed within their last General Election manifesto.

The #LibDems' aim to #RejoinEU is literally in their last General Election manifesto. It couldn't be any clearer.

The DWP has been accessing bank accounts without court orders (when they suspect benefit fraud) for decades.

www.thebusinessview.co.uk/do-dwp-have-...

Banks already use algorithms to self-monitor accounts for suspicious activity.

The change seems to be that they'll now be forced to share... 1/2

Interesting that the unofficial fringe anti-trans group, Green Women's Declaration, apparently backed only one candidate for Deputy Leader of GPEW (stating that they have "a lot of respect" for them).

Can you guess who that one candidate was? 🤔

The draft order was unamendable.

The Green Party of England & Wales basically voted to *not* proscribe two organised groups who have planned and committed politically-motivated murders as being *not* terrorists.

Well done. You fell into Labour's trap.

Isn't it?...

Seemingly.

...A major political party with a gay leader too. 🤔

I guess they're simply trying to cover all bases in order to get their leader elected PM - just like Polanski himself. 🙄

He should change his name to Nothin' as he appears to have nothing to say about issues impacting a large percentage of The UK population...

Then again, he certainly had something to say on X, when Hamas terrorists murdered and kidnapped over 1,000 civilians on October 7th 2023. 🙄

It was watching you rant about public spending cuts ten years later, that all the mainstream parties deemed to be necessary in 2010 after the financial crisis of 2008.

That's been my favourite part.

Maybe rant at those supporting the current government's austerity?

This was a ploy by #LibDems to get what they wanted from The Tories...

A ploy which carried no risk to benefit claimants (as Mackenzie also explained, before she was rightly chastised for the blasé manner in which she recounted the apparent trade-off).

This pertinent text always gets overlooked. 👇🏻

You wanted Corbyn's stance on The (now) EU, prior to the result of the Brexit vote?

Here it is. From his 1983 election pamphlet. 👇🏻
