In his record-breaking congressional speech last week, @booker.senate.gov quoted @kevinprindiville.bsky.social, on the grave consequences of cutting Medicaid:
"Voting to enact these cuts would be voting to abandon older Americans."

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) offers a modest amount of financial help to people who can't work due to age or disability.
But the program has not kept up with the times.
Every year, thousands of people who depend on SSI have their benefits suspended for going over the asset limit.
