There are a lot of Iranian Facebook accounts that deal in oil and gas and are connected to Chinese nationals. Additionally, you can identify some of this type of activity on Telegram channels if you know where to look.

Did I ever say go to war with Iran? No.

Proxy forces trained or funded by the IRGC do not make them the IRGC.

In 2020, Soleimani was killed. That was still a bigger moment in tension with the U.S. and Iran than what’s happening right now. The IRGC launched ballistic missiles at U.S. bases in Iraq as a result. There has been no direct attack from Iranian government forces on the U.S. in this new conflict.

First, Hamas is not Shia. Second, training someone’s forces doesn’t make them part of your military.

I never said they didn’t pose a threat. I said they don’t have a strong military, which is true. Iran acts through its proxies as you have seen. As far as military service, it’s mandatory in Iran. But talk to an Iranian who has been in the military and you’ll hear how awful the training is.

Iran doesn’t have a strong military. The IRGC is their only capable arm. Take for example, military training for Iranians that aren’t IRGC. Old weapons. Very limited time to learn tactics or shooting. More indoctrination than anything else. Some refer to it as forced labor more than training.
