This cat is 16 years old and I've had him since he was like 6 weeks. He's not going anywhere.

-irl, living in one of the most leftist states, I still saw more people excited for trump than any democratic candidate or even the party in general.
-trump's existence is a free advertisement.
-the dems have spent 4 yrs being useless or evil, depending on the day.

My perspective as an American who wasn't glued to the news for the last 4 months:
-didn't get a single kamala ad saying what she stood for, did get dozens asking for money though
-trump said insane things? that is literally why he was elected last time.

"It makes more sense if (character) is X rather than Y or Z-" well maybe the thing that makes sense isn't particularly compelling.

and then while we're having our little trip, we get a call that another person is now in jail and the baby we were planning to adopt a month ago is now functionally trapped in his home state for the foreseeable future.

So we can't even have a beach episode in peace
