Hegseth is reported to have cut all communication with German intelligence. There were rumours the source was European. German showing leadership.

Russia wants to be exempt from prosecution for war crimes and be permitted to rejoin the civilised world. This point from the 28 point plan must be rejected and not negotiable.

Do you expect to find cutting edge technology on the Russian device ?

Apparently there was some bipartisan political blowback on this sh_t sandwich.

Some US senators have a one point plan. Get out of Ukraine or face crippling sanctions. A discharge petition is being drafted.

Can you pass this around?

Please call your congressman and senators to ask them to demand the US support Ukraine. Demand the US continue intelligence sharing and arms sales (which America makes money from)

I think you can be certain of the outcome.

The Russia-Chechnya Peace Treaty, also called the Moscow Peace Treaty, was signed on May 12, 1997, to formally end the First Chechen War. Signed by Russian President Boris Yeltsin and Chechen President Aslan Maskhadov

Plenty of people posting the phone numbers for Congress, saying call your representatives.

Trump, and presumably Witkoff & Kushner, have business ambitions in Russia. I suspect this may not be a pure foreign relations play.

Trump doesn't have the public support he think he does on this.

Everyone in the States should call 202-224-3131 and give their Reps and Senators a piece of their mind on appeasing Putin.

Right now.

It has been commented that this appears to be badly translated from Russian and the Russian version contains the usual Russian phrases.

Excellent analysis. If this is forced on Ukraine, it will be yet another shameful chapter for this administration. I struggle to believe that this is collective incompetence, even though the bar is low.

I'm waiting for holes in the air defences, big enough for the flamingoes to fly through or even aircraft.

Qatar and Saudi have US protection. I think Ukraine needs to chat with Qatar.

Pretty standard behaviour for China, Russia and other pariah states. In the past, pilots have suffered permanent eye damage. Sadly, this is nothing new.

More work for the International Criminal Court or General Budanov.

Poland humiliated them in 1920. They needed the Molotov Ribbenthrop Pact to gain control of Poland. They know Ukraine would be a Sunday School picnic compared to an invasion of Poland. There are also, the not insignificant European Union mutual defence clauses and our old friend Article 5.

Yes, "Shilkas," which are ZSU-23-4 self-propelled anti-aircraft guns, have been donated to Ukraine by Poland and are also being modernized by Ukrainian foundations. Poland donated ZSU-23-4s to Ukraine, with some showing up in Ukrainian service

Ukraine lawmakers ban 'Communist and Nazi propaganda'
04/09/2015April 9, 2015
The Ukraine parliament has approved a law condemning "the totalitarian Communist and Nazi regimes," and outlawing all related symbols and propaganda. Many reminders of the past survive in the former Soviet republic.

Correct me if I am wrong. I understand Ukrainians cannot attend church, because any public gatherings are targeted. The Easter truce was the first time many could attend church and some were attacked violation of the agreed truce.
