a few yrs ago I joked that rich countries like the US should create SWFs where the govt automatically buys $10k of equal-weighted stock in TSMC and the 4 big semicaps every year for each US citizen minor til they reach 18. We might be moving closer to that vision, as crazy as that sounds.

Kinder Bueno barcode in the supermarket was faulty & wouldn’t scan, so the checkout guy just shook his head at it, and threw it in my bag for free. Then the guy at the post office wouldn’t charge me for the envelope because it was late and he couldn’t be bothered to restart the scanner. Winning
