I always get annoyed when discussions like this get reduced to “more rotation good, less rotation bad,” so I appreciated this tidbit about a strategy for effectively rotating players and what that might look like in practice.

I think my next post will have something to do with this. I always love finding these tidbits and manipulating them to see if I can apply them to one of my teams.

We have a Cole Palmer-y 10 on the college team I coach, who is comfortable drifting wide on either side, I wonder if she favors 1 side

Even when my only real commitment is to problem solving, it’s so easy to fall into a trap of rejecting ideals that likely aren’t optimal. It’s a difficult line to walk and takes a real commitment to being humble.

My first foray into an “online presence.” But I’m doing it for myself, not to try to gain a huge following or whatever. I want to learn more things about soccer that can be embarrassing for a coach to not know. Or to not have examined more deeply yet. And I want to share what I learn.
