Just a reminder in this tenuous time, but you should never have to hide parts of yourself from those who love you. If they can’t “handle” certain parts of you or feel like you’re “too much,” then their love was never unconditional, for you had to change to appease them.

I’m currently in a TGI Fridays at 11am. Here’s the scene: Eminem playing on the radio, people doing shots, and church service on almost all the TVs. The singular tv not showing church is playing naked and afraid.

The dichotomy of this gay bar is really interesting. We’ve got Elton John playing on the speakers, Gladiator playing on one tv, and a lifetime movie playing on the other. All while one person is dominating everyone in billiards.

While echochambers are almost inevitable, you should do your best to at least learn what the other side thinks. The problem is that the entire media conglomerate is designed so you only get information affirms your current thoughts. They don’t make money if you’re getting news from many sources.

As the Lenten season begins, I’ve been reflecting on its true purpose. Our penance is not mere ritual but a path to draw closer to God. We are called to embrace suffering, not as an end, but as a means of spiritual renewal while fully living the life we’ve been given.

I understand the need to establish an official language in the US.
However, I don’t know if I trust the opinions of a man who can’t tell me the difference between there, their, and they’re.

I was at an event where Senator John Curtis (UT- R) was speaking and for the first time in quite a while, I felt kinda hopefully for the future of our country. Utah should be proud.
