Nobody particular. Just a guy who rescues animals, observes behavior (occasionally modifies it), listens to records and tries hard to not add negativity to the world and is still pissed that he can’t listen to Todd Snider’s song Vinyl Records on vinyl.
Seems like it was the divorce album in real time. So many of those songs are about drifting apart or how decisions made and connections left to whither affect the long term.

Honestly as an animal advocate my whole life and a vegan for a good part of that time I have settled into what I call a 75% vegan approach. If we all did that factory farms and our health would approve but we could let some of these cravings exist and fit our diet as great apes.

I think it’s been a standard in the truck driving song category almost since it was released. It’s been covered a ton and it’s a great song.
