I find this press release incredibly weak and unsatisfactory. You have been an enabler of this activity by obediently supporting Netanyahu's genocide. Your complacency made it easier for him to spread his plans for the Israeli Manifest Destiny even further, and now with our military's involvement.

Congress continues to be too slow to defend the Constitution against a president that seeks autocratic power and unilateral action with US assets. Shit or get off the pot.

Assuming someone making $1M has a tax burden x10 mine (I make about $100k annually), that suggests a millionaire would be paying $100/mo on education and $1,722.50/mo on defense. That seems pretty low to me, still. I don't know what all the whining is about.

I'd like to see what someone making $1M would be paying by comparison. I'd also like to see what they *should* be paying vs what they're *actually* paying. This is the kind of level of detail we should be speaking in.

By comparison, I spent $2,067 all year on national defense. $172.25/mo. Not peanuts, but still quite small for what that gets us.

I just discovered www.usaspending.gov/explorer/age.... According to my calculations, I spent $143 on the Department of Education all year last year. That's a little over $10/mo. That's peanuts for what that gets us. I'm not seeing why some people are whining over the little stuff.

It'd be really hard to get mad about spending what we (did) on USAid if it amounts to just five bucks a month.

These budget discussions would be easier for Us Small People to comprehend if they were broken down to the scale we usually operate on - per person, per month (or per week) expenses.

If I pay a total of $10k in taxes a year, and $500 of that goes to the Department of Education, that's less than $50/mo out of my budget that funds the federal Dept of Ed. I spend more than that on groceries.

Right because China is a totally reliable, trustworthy, humanitarian-friendly, respectful partner to have. </sarcasm>
