Yes, but delayed gratification is more difficult for people, especially now having been conditioned to expect instant gratification (internet shopping, streaming binges, social media). So a longer-played strategy of 'bring public opinion with you' gets caned by opposers who like Brexit self harm. 🤷‍♂️

People not in the office are out of the controlling influence of the hierarchy... supervisors, their bosses, corporate management, the owners. Individual freedom to work at home is anathema to the capitalist way. Neo feudalism is in the ascendency... serfdom beckons... working at home is revolution.

Infrastructure is complex. It is designed constructed and maintained by professionals and highly skilled technicians. Anything can be made to be nearly bomb proof but at an exponentially increasing cost, and is unrealistic. But what are you REALLY frightened of? What are we not prepared for? Expound

I think if I had the training of being a prosecutor and I was tasked with making a case for something really controversial, I'd build that case carefully and systematically, making sure that it was watertight before taking it forward to trial. Especially knowing the jury can be fickle. Patience...
