I can't stress this enough: PIP is NOT related to work!

No wonder the number of disabled young people leaving school without qualifications has increased, specialist support for disabled young people in schools has decreased dramatically over the past 5 years. This also ties in with increase in mental ill heath in young people.

I don't think the government realise that, those given < 4 points for an activity now, just don't challenge it, if they have enough points to get PIP. No real savings, just more appeals, more burden on HMCTS, and disabled people. This happened when PIP was introduced...

A little while ago I wrote to my MP, Rachel Reeves, about welfare reform. I didn't receive any reply or acknowledgement from her office. Instead she sent the letter to the DWP!! They don't fund LAs to provide social care or fund themselves!

I'm trying to sew together a blanket I made this week, but Nina and Duke are already testing it out!

So, tomorrow I am representing someone at a #PIP tribunal. I wonder if security allow me in without removing the Christmas lights on my wheelchair? 🤔(They wouldn't be switched on because I actually want the judge to take me seriously!)

This phenomenon is sometimes known as 'cat paralysis' when I can't get off the sofa because a cat has pinched my wheelchair!
