I'm not important and don't really matter. My group is not important and matters as much as I do. Our words stand on their own. Citing authorities as support for a position is logic fault. Think for yourself.
Hey Murph!

We found this graphic, purporting to quote Grant, your POTUS 18. Don't know if it's accurate. Even if not, the sentiment seems to be spot on as re the shithole USA is in right now and the bigger/deeper shithole USA seems hellbent toward getting itself into.

Should be impeached and removed?

Sure - In a rational, clear thinking, enlightened society, where the elected officials involved in the impeachment process were also rational, clear thinking, and enlightened.

But, you don't have either.

You do have Article V, US Const.

Use it.

The Courts may indeed serve as a vital check on, inter alia, 'executive power'.

However, the Courts are mere convenience. A middle-man, if you will, to do what society/the people can do themselves.

So, perhaps you could not rag on the Courts so much and motivate the people to do it themselves.

See this re matters speech. Nota Bene: A thesis/argument within/underlying the author's treatise is that USA is an open society. We suggest you might want to examine that thesis/argument.

Factually accurate? Perhaps.

Meaningful?

Reich seems to hold the view 'regimented' is good and 'undisciplined' is not so good.

We hold the view neither is good and neither is bad, where either can be good or bad depending.

That said, we do subscribe to Sir Pratchett's view re the matter, and hold 'undisciplined' tends to be better.

Mr. Egger,

A lot in your article is spot on.

Doesn't change fact that sometimes you gotta pick your battles.

You may be in such a fight.

However, not all battles are worth the costs of success.

For this Veterans Day, consider this:

There are those among you who have seen shit they can't unsee, heard shit they can't unhear, smelled shit they can't unsmell, where you can't possibly imagine that shit.

They did what was asked of them.

Do your part: Don't let what they did be in vain.

'Now, I say that as a jealous guardian of the legislative branch of government, Article 1.'!?!?

For what it may be worth, we like this observation from Sir Terence Pratchett OBE re your 'messy coalition' characterization:

What's your solution, proposed response, etc. (besides fostering, promoting, inciting discontent)?

Sincere inquiry.

Bigotry may be key to Trumpism.

However, it is important, in not critical, to note that Trumpism is simply playing off and taking advantage of the bigotry that is USA.

That is, USA's bigotry is fueling Trumpism. Trumpism is not causing/creating USA's bigotry.

You hold more authority by reason of Art. V, US Const., than all the institutions in USA combined, minor or major doesn't matter.

Learn to use it.
