I'm sorry, people of Blue Sky, for this long post. I was in a state of "writing flow" after drafting my response to OPM and making sure I adhered to their deadline.

Hope everyone has a great rest of their weekend 🖖

6. Some of the folks I work with perform tasks that truly deserve their own documentaries. However, they are far too humble to brag another the amazing things they do. If they take the time to respond, then will their messages even be read? Acknowledged? Will they get a response?

5. What about people on leave? It almost seems like no thought was put into this. For those that have an OOO set up, this will not list "approx. 5 accomplishments. " So what was even the point?

4. I truly understand the point behind the email. To make sure people are engaged at work and check their emails. However, as outlined in points 1-3, this is disconnected from many realities. Why not use DOGE influence to check some of our OPPE if they want to make sure we stay on track with tasks?

3. The sheer disconnect from reality is saddening. Healthcare professionals sometimes take more than a day to review/respond to emails because of the nature of our jobs. We are more keen on responding to EHR alerts.

2. The email was sent Saturday, will be read by most on Monday, and the expected response is by Monday night. Given the point above, even if it takes 30 seconds to formulate a response, most folks should need justify their job security when said job includes saving/improving lives.

1. Over a third of a million #healthcare workers received this email.

Healthcare workers' main priorities are patient care. Not responding to emails.

As an ambulatory care #pharmacist, I have the privilege of seeing my email in real time. My colleagues in acute care areas - not so much!
