Someone living in an Escalade peed on my school a few weeks ago. The kids saw her through the window and started screaming in excitement (there’s a woman out there getting undressed!)

These lists have to be designed to make people mad, or partially chosen at random. Paramore made the list?! I love No Doubt but it doesn’t belong in the top 50. Are we judging based on cultural impact or technical prowess, or what?

Walter Peck has been doxxed and transvestigated because MAGA heard he’s dickless.

The Fifth Element and The Other Guys are probably the movies with the largest gap between how much I love and recommend them and how much the people I recommend them to enjoy them.

I think it depends on the circumstances. The Donner Party is widely celebrated on here, and by the left in general. There also seems to be some tolerance for the Catholic sacrament. Yet Armie Hammer is widely condemned.

I have no explanation for why those colors are associated with those subjects, but I feel very strongly that they do. It’s probably just how I arranged it when I was 13 and the colors are fixed in my mind.

History is yellow, math is red, English is blue and science is green.

When Andor season 2 came out I did a rewatch Rogue One > Andor s1 > Andor s2 > A New Hope, and while there was a very clear improvement from Rogue One to Andor, the movie is still as solid as ever. I’d rank it 3rd behind Ep.IV but only for nostalgia, really. It’s the number 2 movie.

Some of us remember. RealMediaPlayer sucked so much shit but all the South Park episodes on Napster were .rm format. It was a godsend when we were able to download the codec so it could play it in Windows Media Player Classic. Classic, because by then Windows Media Player also sucked so much shit.

I wish we could stop with these stupid polls. Where was Mamdani vs Cuomo in the polls this far out of the election? These polls are so meaningless.

Yes, Mythbusters showed that 20 years ago.

The scientist in the first episode was saying they’d essentially have had to turn their entire planet into a transmitter in order to send the signal that far, and he couldn’t imagine why they’d do that.

They explained that it is their biological imperative to make Carol one of them, so I assume the same imperative drives them to beam the signal out into the galaxy. Presumably the only purpose the hive humans now have is to develop the technology to beam the data out.

Twenty years of being forced to take your shoes off just to get into the airport has trained people to wear shoes easy to remove. Being told to get to the airport three hours early just to get through security has trained people to dress for comfort.

Shut the fuck up Sean Duffy.

Following Trump’s covid testing numbers logic, if we no longer have students, then we won’t be failing them.

It’s been a long time, but I distinctly remember in boot camp the drill instructors specifically giving us instruction about not following illegal orders. This was pre-9/11 so they might not do that anymore, but they definitely did at one point.
