We did the banner too for our site (though decided since then ads are not really for us), and it was painstakingly hard to do the "right way". Docs by default point you to setup the more aggressive sharing.

Found the case (screenshot below, with Celex number reference to EUR-Lex) - it sounds they find not that the TCF or cookies are themselves bad, rather that possible non-compliant processing of them (and their related data) by the chain of parties?
