Making weird model edits for Jurassic World Evolution and related games.
...Like a plow, the theropod's massive snout lowers to knock the escaping goat off balance, tumbling horns over hooves along its track. His gait spreads to halt his jiggling advance, literal tons of fat and muscle driving his momentum forward while he cranes his neck to try and snap up his prey...

...The titan wheeled on his haunches, padded talons planting into the earth for desperate purchase. Each step dragged a mountain of flesh behind him in a deep furrow beneath him. His head bobbed, birdlike despite his wobbling neck and jowls, eyes trained on the latest meal fleeing his presence...

Though the added girth proves a challenge to haul about, our extra-dense muscle modifications keeps him nearly as mobile as his pre-bulked frame.

(This model was a quick test, I want to revise this and adjust the arms to make more room for chest underneath, maybe have them resting on his bust...)

Testing has been a long and arduous process. In spite of setbacks, some of our most recent experiments have yielded very promising results.

Please welcome back the first of our improved attractions: the Acrocanthosaurus.

(If you get any DLC, get the Dominion bundle since those two add the most features overall.

The rest of the DLC just add new species, so you should only get the ones with critters you like.

The Feathered/Predator packs have my favorites, and Marine adds more aquatics, but the rest is up to you.)

(Still working on edits, BUT if you want to play with the mods once I release them, JWE2 is once again on sale!)

(The majority of species I am planning to edit are going to be base game, so don't get every single DLC if you just want to have fat dinosaurs. I will suggest some that I like though...)

#JPaunchWIP (gonna use this tag to put non-release/non-narrative posts, for the ease of organization)

(Learning some techniques to help improve the workflow...)

(I think I fixed the feet on these guys. No luck on the eyes/nose during the social animation, but this is still good progress)

A meeting of the minds

(Messed with some mods to get the Compy into position here)
March 28, 2025 at 4:21 AM
Even though they're twice as wide as before, they're still just little guys!!
March 27, 2025 at 7:21 PM
Our carnivore feeders are intended for larger dinosaurs, but the compies treat it like a playground. Digging into slabs of meat larger than themselves...
March 25, 2025 at 5:57 PM
The compies are cheerful little fellows - they seem happy with their current habitat. As the smallest of our species, it's much easier to provide space (and food) for dozens of the critters at a time.
March 25, 2025 at 3:58 PM
(There are a few issues I need to fix, namely the feet and eyes don't line up at times, but I'm glad they exist)
March 25, 2025 at 2:28 AM
(Back to the present)

We've made major strides since those early disasters, though since our technology is a little rusty, we figured it would be best to start... small.

(JWE1)

"T. rex doesn't want to be fed, she wants to hunt... Can't just suppress sixty-five million years of gut instinct."

(JWE1)

The last of the old documents are in worse condition than the others, due to improper storage and unprofessional annotations. What they do offer, however, is some telling clues as to why the first run of experiments were abruptly ended.

"Movement-based vision DISPROVEN. Do NOT STAND STILL."

(JWE1)

Eventually the rest of the Pentaceratops herd was able to match the test group in mass - though we lack records on how long it took.
March 22, 2025 at 7:37 PM
(JWE1 continues)

Of course, the early successes had to be pushed further... these older tests commonly mixed the control and test groups in the same habitat.
March 21, 2025 at 10:45 PM
(older JWE1 screenshots continue)

The Pentaceratops, though less famous than its three-horned cousin, was an ideal candidate for expansion due to its long legs allowing for plenty of, ah, "ground clearance."
March 20, 2025 at 6:58 PM
While we work on the latest iteration, our teams dug up some documents of the earliest uses of this technology (from JWE1).

Back then, our paleobotany teams hadn't produced our modern rapid-regrowth variants of the herbivores preferred food sources, so automatic feeders were needed to supply them.
March 18, 2025 at 10:54 PM
(Just a heads up, JWE2, the game I'm doing these edits for, is on sale with its DLCs on Steam until the 20th.)

(Also on the 20th, it will be avaliable free on the Epic store until the 27th, but probably won't include the DLCs.)
March 16, 2025 at 8:53 PM
We 𝘮𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 have gone a little bit overboard with the feeding schedule for this project... but who's got the heart (or the nerve) to tell them they need to eat less?
March 16, 2025 at 12:49 AM
Much like cats, the raptors are agile, cunning, and relentless predators.

Also much like cats, no matter how soft their middles are, 5 out of their 6 extremities are always pointy.
