It made her flinch, but at the same time she was fascinated by the fact that the humans had listened. “Honey,” Sebastian began again, his voice returning to the measured tone he’d had before. He reached forward and took her hand with both of his. “Right now, your world is a bubble. And these two guys want to pop that bubble. It’s going to be rough, and it will hurt. But I wouldn’t go back if I had the choice.”
