@erikcats I have used a similar method for problem-solving exercises. The class develops a project and the dice are used to randomize problems that inject issues to complicate their plans. The goal is to get them to collaborate to plan for contingencies and react to unpredictable situations.

@erikcats My examples are for adult learners.
One of my colleagues, an instructor, uses a “lite” version of D&D for ethical dilemma activities. It’s kind of theater of the mind, but it is a creative way to get students to think about morals and ethics by facing scenarios.
