Right, exactly. I am super disappointed with Scott this time. Just look at this Q&A. Not sure he read the paper, and I guess even if he did, he is not knowledgeable in this sub field to comment much.

I am pretty sure I am the no.2 fan of Christina Aguilera on Spotify, 2nd only to my wife, because our older daughter is obsessed with Mulan. She can only fall asleep with selected Mulan soundtracks. She would wake up if a non-Mulan song plays, when we forget to play the playlist in a loop 😅

I checked equal1's website and one of their white papers (arxiv.org/abs/2012.09021). It seems their approach is to use Silicon qubit integrated with classical CPU as a QSoC. They are hoping it can operate at 500mK which means it plans to use a He-3 cryostat rather than a dilfridge.
