Poor Carl, im rootin' for him (and his poor legs)

AI detectors are the new snake oil, tbh i'm appalled that universities and other institutions buy into them. I can't imagine how bad students have it if everything they write creates these false positives.

My favs this year have been The Bobiverse books, Mickey 7, and MurderBot Diaries. Just started Fortune's Pawn. I still need to finish, A Long Way to a small Angry Planet. I think I like a little humour in my dystopia scifi 😄 but I haven't any read classic SF in years.

Ha, trust me, I've been warned 😅 also that Foundation was a bit more cerebral and slow than anything published today. But his robot books are pretty much a cornerstone in sci-fi, I feel like I got to dabble in his works 😉.

Totally agree, I do love the exploration and colonisation beats (that's a fantasy of mine) and the general optimism that humanity endures. But the battle for the Pavs and Homer's fate hit hard. I get invested in all the Bobs.

I think Black Mirror is exceptionally good at this!
