half of the RTS audience wants starcraft but slightly different and the other half wants anything but starcraft. in any other genre this would lead to a split but everything is mostly marketed to "RTS fans"

the breadth of what we get now ui/presentation-wise is so rad and interesting in a way that we did not get back then because publishing a game was like 100000x harder. we're feastin' better than ever (imo!) but the stuff at the top is without a doubt full of capitalist slop rot
