That’s almost festive! 😂 I swear the white on older kits was just mint. Here’s the inside of an older, not EX line, White Base. Looks similar.

Question for anyone who has done the entry grade RX-78-2 kit, was your white runners a mint green like mine!? I was hoping for an easy chill build, but no. I cannot, will not, have grandpa gundam have fresh mint legs. #gunpla

While the elmeth model kit is on pause — can’t prime it in below freezing temps, I decided to knit some socks only to spot something in my bag of miscellaneous knitting tools. I must have put it in the bag when I moved from Brooklyn years ago.

Haven’t been able to do much model kit stuff this week, but I did get this HG Char’s Zaku done…with one of those micro/mini building blocks kits. This is my first high grade ( I’ve done mg, rg, ex, entry, etc. ) and I’m happy with the simplicity. Ugh, I see a nub I didn’t fully erase.

The main gripe I have with him (and Megatron) is that many of their joints are too tight, which can have pieces popping out or almost impossible to put in. I sanded this peg before I put in it and it still stressed the other plastic. Just too darn tight!

In the home stretch with these two stinkers, but not quite there! So far, Rodimus was the more frustrating of the two…seems about right.

It’s been years since I’ve done gunpla/gundam model kits and I’m very impressed by this entry grade Nu Gundam. Minimal nubs, very poseable, and looks great without paint. I may have to dig out those older kits I’ve never built. Wish it had the funnels though.
