Though seriously it gives me a bit of peace knowing that our existence up to this point is only a fraction of the length of the Dinosaurs. We're not the main characters of the universe and I like that. I like being a bit inconsequential at times.

If you really HAVE to give someone a hard truth and genuinely don't want to be rude then just say "I know this may be hard.." Because otherwise what you're really saying is you don't care about that persona feelings or whether you're being mean or hurtful.

Ok, then don't. Don't be mean or rude. Find a kinder way to say it or ask yourself if you should be saying it at all.

I think dog-earing books you own is completely fine as long as you don't do it to borrowed books. It's not always my preferred way of saving places but it's very handy in a pinch. Mostly I love creating and finding cool bookmarks 💜
